In June 2006, Dr. Griffin became the owner of the practice, and "Chillicothe Pediatric Dentistry" was launched. Dr. Griffin is now the sole owner and proprietor of the dental practice at 1140 Western Avenue, and maintains a dental license through the state of Ohio. He has also been afforded a special permit from the state of Ohio which allows him to administer sedation medicines to children under the age of 12, due to his extensive training in sedation for children.

Dr. Griffin is a member of the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, the Rehwinkel Dental Society, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Orthodontic Society. Sine his arrival in Chillicothe in the year 2000, Dr. Griffin has also been a staff physician at the Adena Regional Medical Center, where he performs dental care for children under general anesthesia, when necessary.
